Verda Lodena (Gothard) Hardy

Verda Lodena Hardy, 86, of Rock Spring went home to be with our Lord on Monday, August 24, 2020.  Verda was born in Chattanooga and lived most of her life in Rock Spring. She was retried from Ely Walker Textile where she was a seamstress.   Verda enjoyed cooking, gospel music, reading, working puzzles and helping others.  She was a member of Yates Springs Full Gospel Church and was a Sunday school teacher with the youth for many years but most of all she treasured time with her family, helping with her great-grandsons and loved God.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Davis.

Survivors include her brother, Lewis (Charlotte) Gothard; children, Connie (Jim) Atchley and Mike (Jackie) Hardy; grandchildren, Missy Davis, Matt (Holly) Davis; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Micah, Mali and Austin Davis.
