Vernon “Carol” Greeson, 79, of Chickamauga, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga.
Mr. Greeson was born in Henagar, Alabama and had spent the greater part of his life in Rossville, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. A hard-working man, he had a thirty-year career with Flowers Bakery and enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Greeson, parents, O’Dell & Ella Watkins Greeson, son, Timothy Greeson, and brothers, Randy, Donald, & Kenneth Greeson.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Danny) Stoker, Vickie (Mackie) Holt, and Julie Hamby; sons, Morris (Pennie) Forster, & Mickey (Treva) Forster; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5th at 1:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Bro. Ron Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and all day Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
