Virginia Lee Laney

Virginia Lee Laney, 86, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was a member of the Old Fort Baptist Church for several years. During her life she enjoyed serving her Savior by teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, going to nursing homes and praying with the residents. She was a kind and caring person willing to help anyone in need. Virginia enjoyed going to yard sales, cooking, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alford and Marthya Dupree, sister, Sibyl Woebbeking, 2 brothers, Charles and JR Dupree, sister in law, Nila Dupree.

Survivors include her son, Roger (Lynn) Laney, daughter, Belinda (Allen) Atkins, 2 brothers, Ronald Dupree and Donald (Mary Lou) Dupree. Sister, Kay Stearns, 2 sisters in law, Katherine Dupree and Laura Dupree Wade. 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be 2p.m. Thursday in the chapel with interment to follow in the Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
