Walter David Carlton

Walter David Carlton, 79, of Rock Spring, GA passed away Monday, January 28th, 2019.

David was born in Dalton, GA and lived most of his life in the North Georgia area. He was an avid golfer and talented musician.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ovid and Gertrude Carlton; and brother, Roger Carlton.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Carlton; sons, Randy Carlton of Bethlehem, GA, Jimmy (Tyra) Carlton of Rock Spring, GA, and Tommy Carlton of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Patricia (Dean) Lowrance of Lookout Mountain, GA and Karen Webb of Rock Spring, GA; brother, Johnny Carlton of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, David, Casey, Garrett, Evan, Jacob, and Parker Carlton; great grandson, Isaac Carlton; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held, Thursday, January 31st at 11am in the South Crest Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ First Church, 1008 N. Beaumont Rd, Ringgold, GA 30736 or to your favorite children’s charity.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
