Wendell Leon Adams, 81, of Rossville passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Adams was a native of Pisgah, AL and had lived in the Rossville area since the age of 8. Mr. Adams worked as a Meat Cutter for Goodlet’s Grocery for over 40 years and he retired in 2002 from Ken’s Hometown Grocery/Sunnytown in East Chattanooga. Mr. Adams loved his family dearly; spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and just enjoying his time outside.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Adams; parents, Leon and Izetta Adams; and brothers, James Adams and Alvin “Preston” Adams.
Survivors include three children, Lebron (Renee) Adams, Stacie Adams, and Machelle (Robert) Petty; sister, Mabel Nicholson; brother, Charles Adams; 7 grandchildren, Kristy Adams, Robert (Whitney) Petty, Beth Adams, Nicholas Petty, Paige Green, Shayla Dunn, and Makensey Fowler; 7 great grandchildren, Alexis Petty, Hayden Vandergriff, Jacob Petty, Lane Heidelburg, Kylie Green, Payton Green, and Jaxson Green; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Steve Brandon officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8p.m. and Monday from 5-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
