William Larry “Tut” Ware
William Larry “Tut” Ware 71, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday May 22, 2021.
He was born December 22nd, 1949 in Catoosa County. He was the son of the late William “Bill” & Elizabeth Ware. He proudly served in the US Navy 1967-1969 on the USS Ernest G. Small. He retired from the City of Fort Oglethorpe in 2001. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Shields Baptist in Chickamauga.
Larry was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. We rarely saw him in anything other than his favorite football team’s colors. He loved being outdoors. Any chance he got, he could be found on the water fishing. We are smiling today thinking about him fishing and yelling Roll Tide in heaven.
Larry was also quick witted. He loved to tease and would give a nickname to anyone he came in contact with. His humor has left us with many stories that will keep us laughing for years to come.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Janice (Jones) Ware; daughter and son in law, Randy and Treva Rhinehart. Brother, Jerry “Buddy” Ware and sister, Maryfaye Griffin. Grandchildren Cassie Rhinehart, Tori Rhinehart, Felicia Barrett, & Caston Campbell. Unbiological daughter, Cynthia Gaston.
