Tribute

William “Bill” David Day, 74, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 28, 2020 with his wife and family by his side.  He had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.  Mr. Day was an U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam.  He was Master of Temple Masonic Lodge #430 F&AM and a member of Masonic Lodge 698 F&AM.  He was also a member of the Alhambra Shrine and the Scottish Rite.  Mr. Day loved his family, was an avid TN Vol fan, was a talented artist/painter, and he enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Elizabeth Moore.

 

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ida Day; son, Barry Day; two brothers, Bruce Day and David Day; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org in memory of Mr. Day.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.  Final Rites will be by the Masonic Lodge #430 F&AM.  Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army.

 

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
