W.A. (Bill) Eaves, 79, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021. Bill was a native of Rossville and graduated from Rossville High School, class of 1960 and attended the University of Chattanooga. He was a member of the First Centenary United Methodist Church, where he served with the Television Ministry Team since 1975, an avid Ham radio operator, played the trumpet with the Jericho Brass and was a member of Mid-South Symphonic Band.
Bill was previously employed with Central Soya and Borg Textiles and served as City of Rossville Fire Chief for 14 years before his retirement in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Eaves, Sr. and Mary Lou Hawkins Eaves.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years Martha Cole Eaves and brother, Guy (Missy) Eaves.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 26th, 2021 at 2 pm in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Doctor Mark Gooden, Rev. Doctor David Harr and Rev. Laura Shearer. TV Ministry at First-Centenary UMC are to be honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday from 11:30 am until the funeral hour in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge.
