William “Bill” Francis Gulledge, 90 of Rossville passed away Friday, September 4th, 2020 in his home.
Bill was born in Atlanta, Ga and moved around the North Georgia area until joining the Air Force after high school. He traveled the country and the world during his time in the military. Bill received specialized missile training and served during the Vietnam War as an Avionics Electronic Technician. After retiring from the Air Force, Bill went to work as an Electronic Technician for the United States Post Office and retired after over 20 years of service. He was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf, tinkering with gadgets, and playing on his computer. Bill was an intelligent and respected man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Gulledge; brother, Carroll; sister, Marjorie; and great grandson, Kyler.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Bettye Gulledge; daughter, Ann (Tim) Anderson; son, Greg (Jennifer) Gulledge; grandchildren, Brandon (Whitney) Anderson and Darby Anderson; great grandchildren: Kelsey, Addi, Kason, Braxton, Cade, and Karter Anderson; and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, September 10th at 12pm in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
