Wilma Jean (Garner) Varnell

Wilma Jean Varnell, 80 of Ringgold, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 in a local hospital.

Wilma was born in Trenton, GA and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Ringgold, where she sang in the choir. She never met a stranger and loved her family with all her heart.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Garner, Sr. and Veola Garner; brothers, Marion Garner, Jr., Orville Garner, Wick Garner, Ray Garner, and Joe Garner.

Survivors include her husband of 3 years, Robert Dunn; daughter, Terry (David) Parham; sons, Tommy (Cindy) Underwood, Troy Underwood, Timmy (Deb) Underwood; sister, Evelyn Buchanan; brother, Tim (Candy) Garner; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 30th at 11am in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Rob Borders and Reverend Joshua Parham officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
