I knew Barbara growing up in Chattanooga.B Barbara and I went to Highland Park Elementary School , Eastside Junior High School and Chattanooga High School. I have many good memories of Barbara growing up in Highland Park . She and her family traded in our drugstore. She was the fastest runner in Highland Park.

Jackie, Roger & family: We were truly saddened to learn of your mom's passing. We think of our parents and their passing and, rightfully and respectfully so, tears fall from our eyes. But as they roll down our cheeks those tears meet and moisten a grin which slowly grows and eventually permeates our entire face into a full blown smile. I challenge anyone to remember your mom and not smile at her memory! It can't be done. What a wonderful legacy she leaves her family. Although absent in form, she remains in spirit. And on this day we are taught to understand the true meaning of a broken heart. May she rest in peace as she is remembered for the many wonderful life prints she left on you, your family, and so many others! Love, Dave & Clara

I will miss you so much, Barbara. You have been a blessing in my life. You have always been such a wonderful caregiver to everyone, and especially my mother, your mother-in-law, when she was so very ill with Alzheimer's, etc. You just always knew exactly what to say and do. Your smile, you laugh, your kind manner and happy heart will be so very missed. I do wish you had not let Jack name me Shirley, but I forgive you. You could have named me. I would have loved the name Jackie, but you were saving that for later....Love from your sister-in-law.
