Christel was just like a Grandmother to me. I will miss her so very much. Will always remember the day when we went to the Jack Daniels Museum and then to an authentic German resturant to eat for her Birthday.I believe she had a really good time, I know I did. My favorite memory of Christel was when Derek and I took her up to Lake Lanier to ride on my grandmother's houseboat. Derek and I were up on top with my uncle who was driving the boat and the grandmothers were down below on the front porch. Well, we hit a pretty big wave from a really big boat that had crossed in front of us. We heard them both scream as the wave crashed up and over the bow of the boat spraying them both with some chilly water! When we went down to check on them, I'll never forget Christel giving me and Derek the stink eye and saying "Were you trying to drown us?" We all laughed and then dried and warmed them both up. It was a very fun, special day for all of us.
