Henry “Hank” Compton, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home.

For over a decade, Mr. Compton was a trustee and Sunday school teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Addie Sisk, and sisters, Bobbie, Kate, & Naomi.

Survivors include his wife, Glinda Compton; son, Mark Compton & Chuck (Karen) Lee; grandchildren, Lindi “Doodle” (Joe) Porter, Gracie “Grunt” Lee, Colin Lee, Grant Compton, Holly Morrison, Heather Pipkins, & Chris Malkoski; four great-grandchildren; brothers,  Sam & Frank; sisters, Ada, Evelyn, Lorine, & Georgia May.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Bobby Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
