Martha Diana Payne, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Payne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, growing plants, and playing with her dogs.  She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. Brooks & Viola Soloman, and siblings, O’dell Brooks, Roy Brooks, Bobbie Fraley, Mary Geer, & Gillian Kendrick.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Charles Payne; daughters, Debra (Danny) Hatcher, Tammy (Dean) Peters, & Angelia (Michael) Seabolt; siblings, Verna Miller, Billy (Betsy) Brooks, Jackie (JoAnn) Brooks, Linda Nalley, Robin Greyson, Janis Truman, Karen Johnson, Allison Verville, & Larry Allsobrooks; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and several special daughters also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Johnny Godgiben officiating.
