Bobby Joe “Robert” Hickey, 74, of the East Lake Community of Chattanooga, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday morning, August 22, 2017.

Bobby was a quiet soul who loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elsie Hickey and his sister, Wilma Hickey.

Survivors include his three sisters, Liz “Mary” Jones, Dorothy Hickey and Frances Burke; brother-in-law’s, Larry Jones and Bobby Burke, nephews,  Steve Strickland, Darren Strickland and James Burke; nieces, Jill Burns and Erica Mickel; eight great-nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Reverend Charles Bray officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital for their loving care of Bobby during his time there.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
