Samuel Wesley Ott Jr., 84, of Jasper, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on October 19, 2017.

Mr. Ott was born on August 16, 1933 and resided in the Lookout Valley and Jasper area for several years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Lookout Valley and the Lookout Valley Lodge # 673 and Temple Lodge #430 F&AM. He previously worked at Combustion Engineering and retired as an inspector from the State of Tennessee. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Christine Ott, parents Samuel and Florence Ott and two brothers J. W. Ott and Larry Ott.

Survivors include, sons Mike Ott, Randy (Sherry) Ott, Bradley Ott (Traci), daughters Tina (John) Rogers, Lorna Croft, step son Kenneth (Jeannie) Smith Jr., step daughters Ann (Stan) Dickert and Jane Merritt, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Dylan Knox officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens – West.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
