Tommy Lee Cox, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Cox was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the owner of Cox Motor Company.  He attended Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, boating and going to church.   His parents, T.J. & Velma Cox preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Richard (Renee) Cox, Ronnie (Carolyn) Cox, Brenda (Lamar) Freeman, & Bobby (Linda) Cox; sister, Patsy Croft; brothers, Paul Cox, Michael (Denise) Cox, & Terry (Jodi) Cox; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the South Crest Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, beginning at 11:00 am until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
