Charles "Ben" Napier

Ben Napier 82, of Rossville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2018.
“Big Ben” proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1953-1957. He returned home and devoted himself to a life of volunteer service to his community. He was a member of many civic organizations. He founded the Choo Choo Chapter of the Coca Cola Collectors Club in 1984 and assisted with the founding of the Walker
County Stocking Full of Love. He retired from Chattanooga Glass Company and the Walker County Board of Family and Children’s Services. He was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year by the National Veterans of Foreign Wars in 1998. Ben’s passion was to help make life better for people.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Darline, daughter, Kim and special cousin, Margaret Beard.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Sheriff Steve Wilson officiating.
Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 11am until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge in Rossville, Georgia.
